About Me
NAEDRE is a solo textile art studio created by me, Devin River. I’ve been sewing since childhood and feel most at home with a sewing needle in my hand, surrounded by piles of fabric. I love working with upcycled or reclaimed materials, and I adore all the special, tiny details of human touch when stitching by hand.
All quilts are made with reclaimed or OEKO-TEX 100% cotton quilting fabric. I use Quilters Dream 100% cotton batting (contains no plastic scrim or glue). T-shirts are stabilized using scrap fabric—I do not use interfacing. My intention as a business is to reduce textile waste and do my part to keep unsustainable and toxic materials out of our environment.
I live and work in Olympia, WA with my bookseller partner and our two black cats, Lava and Sabo.
Shop Policies
No Refunds or Exchanges
Because my items are custom-made or one of a kind, I do not offer refunds or exchanges. All sales are final. Any exceptions to this rule are granted solely at my discretion for extreme circumstances only. I encourage you to carefully read the product descriptions and review all photos before making a purchase.
Upcycled Garments: Condition
Please note that any items made with pre-loved materials may show slight signs of wear such as fading, pilling, or other imperfections. Dyed items may show the slight flaws expected of a small-batch hand-dye process. I strive to select only excellent-quality items to upcycle and repair any structural issues I may encounter, however I am only human and occasionally may miss a tiny flaw.
Upcycled Garments: Care
These garments should be hand-washed in cold water or machine washed DELICATE with COLD water only, and no fabric softener. HANG DRY ONLY. Drying these garments in a dryer could warp or distort the embroidery or appliqué.
Quilts: Care
Unless otherwise stated in the item’s description, quilts can be machine washed warm or cold delicate (I recommend liquid detergent) and tumble dried low. Do not wash your quilt with rough garments, such as jeans, or anything with zippers or grommets (towels make great laundry companions). To preserve your quilt for years to come, do not use any fabric softener or dryer sheets. Adding one cup of plain white vinegar to your machine’s rinse water can keep your quilt clean and soft.
Quilts: Warranty
All quilts come with a ten-year warranty. I will repair any damage to your quilt that was incurred by normal, daily use, such as small tears, popped seams, loose stitching, or new holes in t-shirt fabric larger than a dime. This warranty does not cover extreme circumstances, such as being destroyed by a pet or natural disaster, nor does it cover stains. I reserve the right to deny repair services if I suspect fraud or misuse of this policy.
Shipping and Handling
I carefully pack all items to ensure they reach you safely. Please double-check your shipping address at checkout; I am not responsible for items lost due to incorrect address information. Any shipping delays caused by carriers (e.g., USPS, FedEx) are outside of my control, and I am unable to provide refunds for delayed shipments. Once a package has been checked into the carrier’s system, it is out of my hands. For lost packages, I would be happy to help you file a claim with the carrier.
